Phoenix Technologies Signs Top Notebook Manufacturer for Mobile & Desktop Solutions

(Nasdaq: PTEC), the global leader in core systems firmware, announced today that Samsung Electronics has licensed Phoenix SecureCore, the Company's flagship firmware product. Phoenix SecureCore will be the firmware foundation for Samsung desktop and notebook computers and will ensure that Samsung PCs are optimized for the Microsoft Windows(R) Vista(TM) operating system. Phoenix SecureCore is the most advanced core systems firmware available today to support EFI (Extensible Firmware Interface) and UEFI (Unified Extensible Firmware Interface), while also supporting legacy BIOS implementations and drivers.
